Haven't been but I'm sure most tx/mex border towns are.
I've been to Brownsville; i remember seeing the plethora of used car dealerships that had very cheap deals. Must be money laundering for drugs

nothing about the TX border/valley is the "south". It's a whole other country there.
East Texas is very much the south.. So I'll nominate Vidor just to get some rep up in here.
