I always go to the dealer for oil changes. OEM filters and name-brand oil. The intervals are so long now, it's not that much more, cost-wise.
The cheap places use crappy oil and cheap, bulk filters.

The dealership is like $250 for my car. $50 if I change it myself with OEM filter and Castrol 0w40. Since my car has 170k, I do it every 7k-8k, which I reach quicker than I'd like.
