Taking gamey taste out of hog

Hey fellas,
I'm cooking a 45lbs male hog this weekend. I was gonna soak it today, marinate tomorrow and cook on Sunday. My question is about the soaking part to get some of the gamey flavor out. I was gonna put it on ice in a cooler add some water, vinegar (maybe apple cider vinegar), lemon and possibly some Worcestershire. I've heard buttermilk but that might spoil. Any ideas for the soaking process would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've never had one that had a gamey taste.

I just cut little "tunnels" into the meat and stuff with red pepper and garlic, and season the outside generously with salt, red pepper, garlic powder and paprika. No gamey taste, IMO.
