Dancing/Musical for me. I never understood why people are into these movies. In these movies, they portray dancing is so great that it solves real life problems. And do you ever notice how touch they dancers try to act in these movies? You're dancer for christ sake.

It's not really a genre, but I despise movies about rich Ne England/New York schoolboys whose daddies don't hug them enough. Seriously, STFU. Your problems are minute and the film will likely be wildly overpraised due to the fact many critics (and other filmmakers) are themselves former rich schoolboys whose daddies didn't hug them enough. I call it the Catcher in the Rye genre. I cannot be moved to care about how hard it is to grow up as one of the most privileged human beings on the planet.

Romcoms suck and honestly, I don't really get into comedies that often.

Horror probably, although I absolutely love some of them. I just can't think of a horror movie I find ok. It's either great or horrible. I just don't think a genre relies more on a character's stupidity on average than horror. Romantic comedies come close, but Apatow has helped rise that genre from the grave of it being truly atrocious.

On second thought, this. It's the absolute bottom of the barrel of a movie genre. They're never good or scary, all they want to do is startle someone. South Park put it best on how atrocious all of these movies are. There's nothing scary about them, but it just gives you a brief shock. Can't see how you can get as frightened in this genre as say you could in the Shining.
