Let an exterminator handle it. Seriously. Flea bombs from the hardware store don't work. After the exterminator does his thing, vacuum daily for a couple of weeks and wash all bedding. Exterminator is worth it if you have a flea infestation.

Bombs suck, get a can of flea spray and use the whole fricking can. It has to say flea spray, not a general spray that kills all insects, just flea. Wash everything, get dog on some kind of flea treatment. I started using triflexis a couple of year ago, and have yet to see a single flea. Even when I give em a bath, not a SINGLE FLEA. Once a month with food, and that's it. Kinda of pricey, but well worth it. Have two labs, fixing to get another, and there's nothing better. Its an all in one treatment. Fleas, ticks, and all the worms a dog can get, hook, round, heart etc. All in one tablet FTW.

Yep. Ours started back late spring. Our dogs had them. Bathed and treated them. But they were in the basement by then. Couldn't seem to get rid of them. I tried multiple flea bombs. I tried the DE. All that did was slightly slow them down and cover everything in the basement with a fine powder when I used the shop vac to clean it up. Used a whole large bottle of flea spray. It looked like I had mopped down there. Finally called the exterminator that was already spraying the yard and told them what was going on. Two treatments and they're gone. First one got most of them but 10 days later there were still some down there. It has been about 4 days since the 2nd treatment and I haven't had any jump on me since then.
