My tomatoes and cucumbers are done. Still getting a few bell peppers. What's next, and when to plant? Is it too late to plant another round of tomatoes/cucumbers?

You can plant peas right now. I usually plant cucumbers again around this time. There are a couple varieties of tomatoes that are supposed to do well in the heat. I tried one variety once (Phoenix something) and had moderate success. They aren't as good as early tomatoes, but better than most store-bought.

You are still in the window to plant pumpkins, but they will take your whole garden to grow

I kept one of my creole tomatoe plants in the ground all through the summer last year and at the end of September/beginning of October it pushed out another dozen or so.

I have the following:
tomatoes (just about done- maybe one a day)
a lot of okra
eggplant with a lot of blooms, but not many fruits
snap beans with blossoms

I am thinking about planting a few tomatoes this weekend, otherwise I will be gearing up for my fall garden.

You can plant purple hull peas (awesome taste & production) tomorrow & be picking peas in mid-late Sept. Then I plow them under & put in my collards/turnips/cabbage...

Planted mine 2 weeks ago after squash/zucchini petered out, will be picking week after Labor day...

Got some peppers still coming in. Question, I'm using pots due to limited space, what can I plant that will grow in a pot in the fall?
