I just went from a 2003 Silverado to a 2015 Colorado.
I like the Colorado. It gets the expected MPG, 24-26 in mixed driving and is big enough in the long bed/crew cab version. I have not towed the tractor with it yet, but on paper it tows the same as the old one. I'm pretty sure my phone and the "infotainment system" in the truck are way smarter than me. It was under $30K, but not by much.
