Romo was ELITE last year. Brees was NOT ELITE last year.

so what happens when Romo goes back to his old ways this year without Murray's running/O-line to lean on?

you know the answer just like I do

Sort of. He had a really good TE, great RB, elite WR, and the NFL's best OL. He was really good, but he had more help than any QB not named Rodgers (the best) or Manning.

Agreed. But he still had a dinged up but still elite TE. He mostly had subpar WRs. He had good but not great RBs. He had good OTs and a dogshit interior OL.

Here's a fact: ask 32 NFL GM's whether they would prefer to have Brees or Romo as their QB for 2015 and 2015 only, at least 30 will take Brees.

Had nothing to do with their respective lines, right? Romo is a good QB and great at times. Last year he was awesome and he had the best line in football. Brees has consistently been awesome. Last year without a great line he still led the #1 offense in the NFL. You go ahead and take Romo and ride him and hope for a SB while we'll take Brees and hope for another SB. My money says Romo retires without a SB. I'd certainly take Brees for a 2nd SB before Romo with a single one. And yes, we know it's a team sport but I'd say Romo had a better team last year wouldn't you?
