Boston Tigers, I recently moved to New England, and I'm wondering if the Boston Alumni association is still a thing.

I've heard that the Baseball Tavern is the Tiger bar on Saturdays. But I checked out the association web page and nothing has been posted since last year and there's not really a social media presence.

Anyone know what goes on?

Yes sir, still going strong. Had our annual Crawfish boil back in May and it was a huge success.

We're currently trying to put together a bus trip for the Syracuse game this fall.

Actually a buddy of mine was there last night and took a picture of a guy in a LSU shirt. Seems to be the place to be for tiger fans.

Yeah the bartenders even wear P&G for the games. It's definitely the place to go for football games.

Yeah. I was there last weekend. The bartenders were talking about the
LSU group that goes during the fall (I also noticed the LSU flag hanging behind the bar and bumper stickers on the wall upstairs).

I'd like to join up, but there isn't much of a prompt on the website to figure out how.

I sent the prez and treasurer emails earlier today asking how to join and offering support to update the web and Facebook pages.

Ran into the president at an Irish pub near my place for the women's World Cup. Good guy. He can help you out.

Fwiw you don't have to be a member to go to the Baseball Tavern for games, but you should join up. Will be good to be a member of you're headed to Syracuse. And the crawfish boil is always a hit.

Yeah, I'm going to join for sure.

I saw something on the site about a "Bourbon and Bowtie" event. Is that something that happens every year?

If so, I'm doing that for sure.

Not sure. I do know that they've done a Christmas party with all the other sec alumni associations before though.

It'll come with time. You just got to Boston. How's Haverhill? I have only been out that way once and it was very brief.

It's really a cool town. Our apartment is awesome and (comparatively) cheap. We live downtown, so we're close to the train and all of the bars and restaurants.

My only complaint is that 2 hour (each way) commute.

Yeah that's going to get old. But you'll probably get more reading for pleasure done than you have in your life.

Feel free to give me a shout if you're going nuts and need to check out the city. Always down to have a beer with a fellow tiger.

I'm studying for the LSAT. So it will definitely give me plenty of time for that.

Thanks, Man. I'll definitely give you a shout.

There's a veterinarian conference in town this weekend. We're staying at the Intercontinental now. There's supposed to be an alumni deal at Whiskey Priest's or something like that.

I was there (Baseball Tavern) for the thrashing of Auburn in '11. Fantastic freaking atmosphere.

have no clue how I made it back to my hotel after I left.
