I lurk in this thread daily but don't post a whole lot. Y'all want one of the regular vets to start the 16/17 thread? I don't currently work cause of some health shite so if nobody cares about me starting it I can keep it updated regularly...was thinking about always having next opponent and the date in the thread title

I was banned from starting the new thread after our 14/15 collapse

I think the new thread waits until at least 7/1 and the window opens...or at least the first attempts by several teams last year were aborted as being "too early".

Hey buddy.

5 Deep and I had a text exchange about Mane just the other day. I dont hate the move, but do hate the 30 mill price tag. He is good, but Im kinda puzzled by the move. I trust in Klopp fully, but when we have Studge, Origi, Ings, Firmino, Cou, Milner, Lallana, then Markovich back, do they really need more help up front? I watched about 6 or 7 Southamptons matches last year, and Mane was really hit or miss. I actually played DFS soccer on yahoo with Mane more than a few times, and he was really hit or miss. The stats they track that are relevant to him are successful passes, crosses, fouls won, corners won, goals, assists, etc. and he had a ton of very low scoring matches, even playing the full 90+. Honestly, his best match was against Pool last season as a late game sub. Im curious how he will slot into the squad, and where Klopp plans to play him at. He has talent, but to me, the price tag is too steep to justify the move. I would rather load up on areas of need on the back end and in the middle. Overall, time will tell how good or bad the move is, but for now I am very puzzled. In Klopp We Trust. YNWA.
