I don't think "replaced" necessarily. With a Europe schedule, there's 100% a spot for him, but yea, we could certainly use another top shelf DM/holding mid.
We should poach Xabi from Bayern for his swan song.

I'm on board with Lucas - I don't think he should be our primary defensive midfielder. He's just a bit too slow at times. But he should remain on the team and play at least 20 games a year (some as a sub).
One of the things I loved seeing on some of the NBC coverage was watching our press turn into a fast break, but at the same time, we still had TWO central midfielders hang behind to help guard against a counter attack. It was fantastic to see how our press creates plus numbers opportunities, leaves some of their players in no-mans land, and still maintains some defensive shape.
We are clearly playing great away from home. We need to develop our style for home games - for gamse when we have more of the ball, more of the impetus, and must break the other team down.
Crating chances like we did on Saturday will help - but need to keep working on it.
