Ran out of money towards the end of a study abroad semester during college. Had a flight back from a trip that was delayed enough to force me to miss my train from London to the town I was living in. Couldn't afford a cab or hotel(probably had $20 to my name) so it looked like I'd be sleeping on the streets for the night. Started chatting up a girl on my flight and she eventually invited me back to her place for the night

My burner phone was running out of minutes and I remember calling my gf and saying "Met a girl on my flight and am staying with her tonight, you're just going to have to trust me on this one." She got over it eventually.
