Contador is possibly the best grand race rider in the field. To say he's not good enough is strange.

If he uses his team as expendable like he has been his last few races, Contador will put himself under a lot of pressure. He is a great rider who usually gets stronger and stronger throughout a grand tour, but the field is deep and the pressure will be on for the last 2 weeks straight. I just think he will have to use his team more wisely. Tinkoff should be able to produce a podium spot with their team and Contador, but there are so many good climbers this year and now he sits behind some that aren't even considered good time trialists like Pinot and Mollema. If you like the sport, you have to appreciate the way Contador rides and I do for sure, but he will be truly tested and he can't go after the bait everyday. It will be a great 3 week race. The time gaps from the short time trial are really minimal between the GC riders, which means it's all about the mountains and a slight Team Time Trial advantage.
