The big wigs will almost always know about this, but they will be able to pin it on a single exec or high-level employee and move on. I would be shocked if Correa was the only one involved.

Well thats surprising. I mean Cubs fans are the highest and most credible source on unbiased Cardinals information.

It was a generalization on sports teams violating rules. It has nothing to do with the Cardinals specifically.

Eh, I dont know. I dont think Mozielak and DeWitt had any knowledge. It doesn't really surprise me our recruiting director had a part though as that falls into his scope of reasons and responsibility.

It doesnt matter. People who already hate the Cardinals have something to hang their hat on know other than "BFIB" nonsense and people who dont care will continue to not care and the Cardinals fans will keep enjoying the Cardinals winning.

Correa has admitted hacking into a Houston Astros database but said it was only to verify whether the Astros had stolen proprietary data, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

Holy shite, that is just dumb as a rock dumb.

I think Competitor A has some of my proprietary data. Ergo, I have the right to hack into his computers, examine HIS proprietary data, in order to ensure that he doesn't possess any of MY proprietary data.

Holy shite.

Like I said, stone-cold stupid.

I agree. Im a Cardinals fan and I think its beyond stupid and am glad he was fired.

That being said, there may be some teeth to the talk of Luhnow taking Cardinals proprietary information/systems.

Stay tuned.

The Cardinals should be contracted for this severe breach of integrity and the Astros should be given the first overall pick in the dispersal draft, which would probably add a couple years to their impending dynasty.

Since the Braves traded with both of these teams, I am sure we were affected by this dastardly deed. Braves get second pick.

Shelby Miller and Wacha/Martinez would make a solid 1-2 punch for the next several years.

He's saying the Braves would draft Wacha or Martinez thus making whoever they picked join Shelby Miller at the top of the Braves rotation

OK.

That being said, I have seen NO report of the Cardinal's organization taking ANY action with regard to alleged theft of proprietary information/systems within the LEGAL SYSTEM.

Have you?

Wouldn't you think that if they had any evidence with regard to the above, they would take it to the legal system?

I can tell you this... whether Luhnow did as you suspect or not, your Cardinals don't have a chance in hell in the legal system now.

"Your honor? Yes... we discovered that Luhnow possessed and used our proprietary data."

"How did you discover this knowledge councilor?"

"We illegally hacked into the Astro's/Luhnow's computer system."

"Case dismissed!"

Its much easier for people to vilify the Cardinals in whole than accept the possibility that there is a gray area in play between the organization and a former disgruntled employee.

One thing to remember is that correa wasn't the scouting director when this happened. Whatever role he was in was two promotions ago.

Yeah, Martinez. He is yet to show that he can handle even close to a full workload as a starter.

So he steals info and then gets promoted. That's one way to climb the ladder.

I know it great, we are already to
Illegal corporate espionage = something for other teams to hang their hat on?

No dude get your head out of the fricking sand. We are talking about criminal activity, not just cheating.
You don't need to worry about what MLB will do.
You need to worry about what the fricking FBI could possibly do.

Cardinals are preparing the world for their impending slap on the wrist by firing the perp.

Great day for Cardinal Nation and the BFIB! We can now move on and continue pridefully supporting our winning franchise!
