Plumbing advice needed - Update with solution

Trying to switch out two bathtub faucet stems to stop constant drip. They are older style brass screw in stems. Hot water switched out easily but cold side stem is frozen and the nut stripped and broke. Is there another way to get a brass stem out of the pipe? The messed up old one is shown, as is the replacement.

T boy I know a good deal about it and I think your up the creek. If your grabbing with vice grips and can't get it out, your in trouble. You got a trap door for that rascal?

Sometimes a man has to know his limits and call a plumber.

Pb blaster hasn't loosened it and vice grips aren't doing it. As a faucet handle it still functions, so I could leave it for now. I'm curious if a professional could get it.
Sucks because faucet stems and seats is not typically difficult work.

T boy, here's what I got... Spray a lub, make damn sure to let it set, then put a pipe wrench and turn slow. (I'm sure you've done this). It's brass so of course it's very soft.

I'm going to spray it a couple times this evening and try to move it in the morning. If it moves, you get full credit.

If it's seriously fricked to where you can't grab it at all, then call a plumber. Hopefully it's galvanized back there and not copper.

Yep do that bud, he's telling me that it'll do the trick. Good luck

if there is nothing left to grab, go ahead and either call a plumber or change out the faucet...
if there is some nut left to grab, stop with the vice grips while there is still hope..what you need is the pliers shown in the link below...these are typically used to take studs out of exhaust manifolds and will either get it out or twist it off...

Get some Kroil, spray it on and let it sit for 24 hours or so then try it.

Plumbing advice needed

Here's the update. I sprayed it twice last night and once this morning with pb blaster and tapped around the pipe each time. Came back this evening and the bastard still wouldn't budge. The solution was to hacksaw about two threads off the top of the outside copper pipe and grip just above the top thread of the stem (the inside thread). With all the penetrating oil, and a better grip, it came right out. Then I installed the new stem with some Teflon tape wrap to make a tight seal, and it works like a new faucet.
Thanks for the advice, except the give up advice. I never admit defeat until I've really destroyed something. Then I pay twice as much to get it fixed, and don't mind paying.
