I don't want to hijack this thread too much since it's supposed to be about Lawrence but I'm curious about this.

I can't believe he feels he made a mistake in not coming here, but maybe he just told Monroe to do what he wanted to do. I'd be interested in knowing the reasoning

Why any one from inner city New Orleans or BR would want to go to AnM?
The culture there is nothing like the deep south.

I know RL is not from NOLA I am just saying there is a disconnect with Texas culture and Southern culture.

Speedy probably told him to look at it as a business decision. Which choice will give you the best path at getting to where you want to be in 3 or 4 years. LSU puts the most DBs into the league. They probably talked about that.

I don't think Speedy made a poor choice for himself. If he's encouraging others to look out for themselves and go to the school that best fits their needs, I got no problems with him.

Jimmy said the A&M staff pushed him to committ to LSU. Sounds stupid but they wanted him to commit because they knew where he was going and he just crowded the board. They have a much better shot at Jones and Anderdon than Monroe. They are also telling Fulton that Monroe is a corner and trying to use that against us.

Yea I find the speedy noil thing a little hard to believe. Isn't he went to the game when Ben Simmons played in New Orleans and kept heckling him from the crowd? He seems to hate all things LSU.

Couple things I noticed. He brought up LSU first. He also said, "is this coach like he is advertised." Coach O certainly would fit the bill of a coach that has a rep.

Hasn't there been some rumblings about Lawrence's interest in going to Bama?

A lot of rumblings. He's interested, but why shouldn't he be? They offer a lot. I think his family leads him to LSU in the end though.

There has but nothing substantial. Just the occasional guy coming by and saying "Bama Bound" without any information to back it up.

Happens all the time. The rarity is a Mingo and Montgomery meeting for the first time and deciding they want to play together. Speedy knows what's up, as do some (many?) of these kids. He's still an Aggie so I'm not going to give him too much credit though.

As much as I hate his decision, despise his uncle, want his team to fail as miserably and embarrassingly as possible, and hate to admit it... it didn't take long for Speedy himself to validate his decision. AnM is a great fit for him.

There has been legitimate information on this board, but the sunshine pumpers refuse to accept it.

"really amped up on my sex compared to my sophomore year"

For real though. We really need to land Lawrence. Coach O has called him a "must get", so I'm pretty hopeful.

Based on that interview I feel very good about landing Lawrence. Said he is going to take it slow but in the back of my mind I feel a summer commitment brewing for some reason.
