Revisionist gleefully forget that Jerry West, despite the monikers, has an abysmal finals records. He too lost to better teams a majority of the time, even though he was the best player on the floor. He too lost with teams that were better than the team they lost too. He too played on an all time team, a time that too had the longest win streak in history. He took was ridiculed for finals loses, and had his mental fortitude questioned; "can he get over the hump?"

But with time, we remember him for his greatest, as the logo, player, gm, and executive. A guy that once helped Lebron conquer his first demons on his way to an NBA championship.

Lebron James might be this eras Jerry West, and their is nothing wrong with that

Jerry West isn't in the GOAT discussion.

Jordan is the standard and Lebron doesn't live up to it.

The Self Professed King brought this on himself. Remember this quote: "Not one, no two, not three, not four, not five, not six"??? And as for comparisons with West: look at the quality of the League that West played in, the level of competition he faced all during the playoffs. Now look at the quality of the league The King plays in, the level of competition, especially in the East, he's faced all during his playoffs. West played against 8 teams for the most part, truly the best of the best. The King plays against 32'ish watered down teams.

No, he wasn't. West's opponents, especially the Celtics, had the utmost respect for him.
