Wouldn't it be more beneficial to play out this season then look for a 3 or 4 year deal next year after the cap goes up?

Game changer for the Pels if he opts out. I realize it only takes one idiot GM, but It's not happening.

With that said...a kid can dream...

ETA: if he opts out, doesn't Demps immediately let Asik walk?

No way he opts out. Would be dumbest move ever. He won't garner more than a 6 or 7 mil contract
