Altuve struck out like 50 times in 650 ABs last season. He is perfect for a 2-hole hitter as he puts the ball in play a lot to advance runners and has enough speed to beat out some double plays.
I agree he isn't the best lead off hitter though because he doesn't draw enough walks so he doesn't get on base much when he goes through funks of not hitting.

well it was hyperbole, they both swing at everything…altuve just actually makes contact. The point is he really isn't a leadoff hitter.
