Thanks for the responses everyone. I ended up getting the XPS 13 on Amazon for $1150 (touchscreen/8gb ram/128gb ssd).
I decided I wouldn't get enough use out of the Yoga 3 Pro's alternative modes to justify the step down in CPU.
I'll be sure to update you guys with my thoughts once it gets here.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've been using MacBooks for the past 6 years or so but I just got my wife a Lenovo yoga 3(not the pro version). I was tinkering around with it and the build quality feels like crap and windows 8 is a fricking nightmare. I think there is a ton of bloat ware, so maybe windows isn't all that bad, I'm considering returning for a dell xps or maybe just getting her a MacBook Air and loading windows thru boot camp
