I do not know the exact one, and As far as I know, the problem is mostly localized in the BR area.

They had some problem with their formula.

If you treated your Centipede with a Scotts product, and it killed most of the grass, you should contact Scotts.

Good luck!

It's the Bonus S and it's from TX to S Car. You can file a claim with Scott's and they'll re Sod your lawn if you have a copy of your receipt

Is there a link to this press release? I have been fighting dead grass since I treated mine. I treat every year and have always had great results. This year I've got probably 40% dead grass in my yard. The St Aug is just now starting to recover.

I had this weird feeling there was something up with the weed and feed I used.

I guess you are just shite out of luck if you don't have a receipt from three months ago.

One of our neighbors just had to resod because of it. It was like he sprayed his lawn with roundup. I actually spot sprayed this year and every spot I sprayed died. I assumed someone hadn't cleaned some roundup out of the pump sprayer, but I'm wondering if something similar occurred.

I applied Bonus S in early Spring - all Centipede turned yellow, but it did ultimately survive, so maybe my application wasn't sufficient enough.

I think it killed a Japanese Maple, though. No complaints there.

I bought a couple of bags of Turf Builder but haven't laid it yet.

Is the problem limited to Bonus S?

Yep I know several people who had this problem this spring and Scotts cut them a check. And by check I mean $3500 + depending on the lot size and amount of sod needing to be laid.
