I swear I have gotten worse at this game since I got it. Especially since I have been called up to the majors in RTTS. I can't lay off a changup down and I'm always early. When I try to gear down for the changeup I can't catch up to gas. I've never had this problem. Anyone have some tips to help a guy in a major slump?

Pump up your hitting vision stat. Also your discipline so you get more leeway with checked swings.

I struggle with sinkers more than anything. Some of these assholes throw 90 mph sinkerballs that break like changeups.

If a pitcher is throwing a lot of off speed stuff, I'll put my hitting area in the bottom of the zone and leave it there. Then take anything that starts inside the hitting area. Unless it's a fastball of course. It's much easier to identify if you are looking off speed and reacting to fastball. The off speed stuff will drop out of the zone. The down side to this approach is you will have to take any high fast balls bc you are guaranteed to pop it up. If he throws two high fastballs for strikes in a row, leave the hitting zone in the middle and use contact swing to foul anything off until he makes a mistake.

I've used this with success whenever I get in a funk and I'm having trouble identifying pitches. Some guys are just hard to pick up for whatever reason.

I honestly believe a good TV helps a lot. When I went from a 720 to 1080p TV, I could actually see spin on the ball out of the pitcher's hand. I also look for how the ball comes out of his hand and early movement. Some guys with those sinkers that break late like craig said are just really tough. It just comes down to timing. If I have an 0-2 or 1-2 count, I'm always guessing the pitch as a sinker or changeup in the bottom of the zone. Makes fighting them off or taking them a lot easier.

I love a good sinker, I seem to be able to handle them easily getting more HR's off of them than anything else.

Circle changes and Sweeping curveballs however......
