Golden State also tried the "no concussion" bit last year

NFL teams apply it differently too
Against the Eagles in the playoffs, Keenan Lewis was pulled for a concussion that he did not have
Against the Seahawks, Harvin def got a concussion and came right back in. Then got nailed in the head again and came back in. Diagnosed with a concussion after the game
Concussions are tricky because symptoms can be delayed

That staff is incompetent. Klay Thompson was bleeding from his fricking ear, and they didn't notice it. And that didn't seem like a cut. Definitely seemed like an ear drum.
But to be fair, the Warriors have had virtually no injuries all year. The staff probably isn't used to working.

It's an incompetent and racist franchise.

He got 3 stitches on the laceration. It was not hemorrhage or an ear drum.
He had delayed concussion nausea and headaches which is common due to adrenaline at the time of the incident.
I don't give a shite about this either.

Their "delayed" excuse is tired when you can look at them in the eyes and know they aren't right.

I don't think they're incompetent. Willfully negligent? That's another issue.
I still haven't seen any reports that he went to the hospital. If you have a patient that's vomiting after a head injury, any responsible provider would send said patient to the hospital.
However if that happens, now they're under the care of an unbiased party. They could lose him for a number of games if he's officially diagnosed with a concussion. I believe that's what they're trying to avoid.
The entire manner in which this has been handled thus far is suspicious to say the least. That said, I'll reserve the right to change my opinion if we get any new information.

It's basketball, not exactly a ton of head on collisions...are we going to act like this is a huge life altering deal?

Well then maybe the doctors should be doctors and know these kind of delayed symptoms are common and hold him out to test him once the adrenaline subsides?

Most concussions aren't head on collisions. We have seen them 2 nights in a row. The big risk is it could be life threatening if you put them right back in and they get another one. The issue is sports in general are either going to address the issue honestly or not.

Right, it's basketball. Not like he was going to be getting tackled and taking a bunch of hits
