It is similar to this one. This was belongs to a guy at church but he stores it at my house. He pays for everything, and I supposedly get to use it because I am storing it. He has just never gotten me a motor(the trolling motor doesnt work). This one is a 14'. Which means I was wrong about size. The one I was just given is a 15'.
A 91 yr old lady in my church sold it to me for $1. Supposedly it belongs to her step-son. Except it has been on her property for 14 years, and he has never touched it in that time. Despite that, he flipped out when she sold it to me. She wanted it gone. So now its mine. I am a little more motivated to buy a motor because now it is for my own boat.
Found a guy selling 2 Evinrudes for $125 combined. The one is a 9.5hp, the other a 4hp. 9.5 needs a water pump, the 4 a fuel pump. It was suggested to me that I buy both, and then trade in the 9.5 to a mechanic to get him to fix the 4. Thoughts?

Water pumps are easy to put in. I have done it on a 40 yamaha.
That said there may be more wrong with the motors, but for 125 I might take a chance.

Thoughts?
Buy them both, fix them and keep them, those are really easy repairs, really easy.
But be careful in those narrow boats.
Also,if it has been sitting for 15 years, check the wood in the back end where the motor mounts, that is called the transom, that wood is probably rotted and needs replacing.
