a. I am puzzled by the part of his story that said, "He then started shooting in the air so I ducked into the house and grabbed my AR-15 to see if I could talk to him about what happened. By the time I made it in the house and back out, he was long gone."

If you've made it to a place of safety, it's time to cut your losses and call 9-1-1.

I think "best case" is not getting picked as a victim.

The dude says, "Well, I think that the guy started out from inside of the car that was on the street and came up to behind the bush. The biggest problem is that I was not paying attention."

Entering and exiting your vehicle is a time to focus on your situational awareness. Members here who have taken my class will likely recall our discussion of this very topic.


c. With all that said, he survived. So it's hard to criticize the end result.
