Yes, they generally have more amperage than a standard phone charger so that they're universally compatible with phones and tablets. Check the amperage rating on the one you buy. Some only have a couple of amps, others have more. A 2-amp, 5v charger with 2 USB ports (sharing the 2 amps) on the receptacle would manage a couple of iPhones. I believe in the case of iPhone 6/6+, it can charge faster with a higher-amperage charger, to a certain extent that doesn't risk damaging the battery.
