Does Travis have water in it again?
Still about 50' below full, but gained 10+' this week alone. I expect a shite ton more after tonight/this weekend.

The whole I35 corridor is in the process of getting washed out into the Gulf via Brownsville. Hopefully, the Red River catches the Ok trash and washes it down to CenLA.

No tornado here.
Straight-line winds (75 mph at the airport), lots of lighting and heavy rain.

The Pedernales River near Johnson City has risen to 37,500 cfs, over five feet above flood stage, and continues to rise. Miller Creek has also ridden to 39,500 cfs, and will flow into the Pedernales River below Johnson City. Flat Rock Creek near Pedernales State Park has risen to 27,950 cfs. Full hydro generation is in operation at Wirtz and Starcke dams as storm runoff is passed through. A partial gate has been opened at Starcke Dam to maintain Lake Marble Falls within normal operating range. Lakes LBJ will be maintained near the bottom of the usual operating ranges until the higher inflows are passed. Inks lake and Lake Austin will be maintained within their usual operating ranges.
Rainfall in the Pedernales River watershed will continue to cause a big increase in streamflow of the Pedernales River, which will enter Lake Travis at Pace Bend. This will cause fast moving currents and rapidly rising water level that may effect property in the Pedernales River channel.
Rainfall continues to moving up from the south across the Colorado River watershed. The most significant rain has been the Pedernales River Basin with total as high as 8.26 inches. The general rainfall over the entire basin ranges from 0.30-0.60 cfs in the Llano and San Saba basins. The forecast calls for additional rains and lasting through the weekend.
Based on current conditions, Lake Travis is expected to rise to 641-643 feet msl tomorrow, and to continue to slowly rise over the weekend. Lake Buchanan is also expected to continue to rise slowly. Floodgate operations are NOT expected at any LCRA dams based on current conditions.
The Colorado River downstream of the Highland Lakes is below bank full/action stage at all locations this morning. The table of River Levels and Forecasts below contains links to the latest river levels and National Weather Service river forecasts.
Forecasts can change quickly with additional rainfall. Unscheduled releases from the Highland Lakes dams may occur suddenly and unexpectedly at any time to pass inflows to the lakes or other reasons. The public should exercise caution and avoid being in the water near the dams at all times.

If it were up to me we would stop them from crossing legally into the state of Louisiana until they learn how to get in the mother fricking right lane when they are going 70 mph and not passing. I swear to God it's a Texas plate at least 70% of the time I encounter this bullshite.

Just said on the news here they opened the floodgates at lake marble falls

Yeah when i crossed the Navasota River yesterday it was out of it's banks and they still have the gates open at Lake Limestone so it's only going to get worse. The Brazos was about 10 feet below the bank the other day but if we get more it'll be out too.

We were supposed to go camping at Dinosaur Valley a few weekends ago and they had to close most of the park because of high water. Two camping trips, afternoon fishing, and a crap load of trail running have all been rained out the past couple of months.

It's been a double-edged sword so far this Spring, for sure...
How much more rain the rest of the weekend?

I'm just looking forward to the 1-10 corridor being nothing but banks and Baptist churches once Shreveport and Bossier are washed down south. Lots of Cowboy gear being sold at the malls.
A lot of stuff is gonna change.
