I don't even need to look at statistics because I watched 75 out of the 82 games this year. Tyreke really improved his 3 point shot and didn't take nearly as many mid-range shots as he used too. The only thing he did consistenly was get to the basket, but he doesn't have the athleticism that I thought he did and flips the ball up from his hip, which is a horrible habit. If we get a coach here that would bench him and show him up when he plays hero ball he will be much more efficient. Ryan Anderson is a luxury and he's who needs to be traded, not tyreke. Tyreke was 2nd behind James Harden in points in the paint for a guard and he can get to the rim at will but he needs to learn to pass more and explode towards the rim instead of euro stepping 8 times out of 10 and flipping the ball from his hip. Gordon with his expiring and Anderson are much more likely to be moved for a draft pick. If coach calipari came here he would be perfect for tyreke Evans. One thing I hated about monty is he showed no emotion, and refused to discipline his players and instill some sort of pressure on them, which led to tyreke hero ball. Tyreke needs to come off the bench anyways and not play with Anthony Davis.

His career 3pt shooting and attempts before this year...?
26.8% and 0.5/1.9 per game for 1.53ppg

This year?
30.4% and 0.9/2.9 per game for 2.65ppg
Taking away that 1 shot and still giving him the increased % would have been 1.73ppg a difference of 0.92ppg.

Giving any player on the team that can hit a 2pt shot >46% would have resulted in a higher point per attempt or letting EG, QPon, Cole, or Ryno that shot would have been smarter.

Extremely inefficient even if he improved 3.6%.

I do like that he reduced his mid-range jumper from a career 16.8% (2.39 fga) of his shots to only 11.0% (1.62 fga) and went from shooting 31.9% to 39.1%.

That means he went from a midrange shot of...
0.76/2.39 fg = 1.52 ppg to 0.63/1.62 fg = 1.26 ppg

So between the mid-range + 3pt shooting, he went from:
1.26/4.29 fg/3pt (29.4%) = 3.05 ppg (career)
1.53/4.52 fg/3pt (33.8%) = 3.91 ppg (2014)

Improvement, but still very inefficient.

Clearly, you are one of the fortunate people who do not require objective evidence to make a point.

Maybe you should watch harder. He shot a dismal 30% from a career average of 28%. His FG percentage was the same so I doubt he took fewer midranges. The goals didn't shrink, so I'll trust the statistics for very objective stats like 3pt% over you watching.
