Well, he's saying that Mark Jackson himself straight up said it.

Avery Johnson is bullet #3. Just need to dodge that one and we're in the clear

ETA: or has he already been ruled out?

Appears like we're waiting out a situation

Which situation though, Thibs in Chicago or Atkinson still in the playoffs? LeBron can only do so much so fast for us.

He's just been named the coach at Bama, I don't think he's even being considered.

It's gotta be Thibs, if they are waiting something out. Why wait for Atkinson, when they didn't wait for Gentry.

How many NBA HC vacancies are there? How many have been filled?

I dont think we are "waiting it out" as much as we are "taking the normal amount of time to make a hire".

Wasn't Loomis already in Cali for the owners meeting? Seemed more like perfect timing to get one interview out the way.

You're right, Monty was only fired 8 days ago. Taking more than a week to turn your long list into a short list isn't unreasonable, especially when Demps also had to attend the draft combine this week.

I do expect this to be over with by the first week of June though.

Got to have time to get ready for FA/Draft, hire assistants, etc.

Although I don't think David Blatt was hired until late June.
