As for why money is relevant... Because while you're mocking him and laughing at him from your shitty couch (a la college athlete Cardale Jones), he's rolling in money. Doesn't take a genius to figure out who is winning that showdown.

People criticized Lebron for saying the same thing when the Heat lost to the Mavericks in the finals and got destroyed for it. The financial situation is irrelevant because this is sports. I don't know what's hard to understand about that.
