Otherwise known as the government knows what's best for your safety campaign, so we'll strip you of you freedom to protect you.

Oh, and it's the annual "Let's fill the LSP coffers" with easy money campaign instead of doing actual police work.

Wait, people actually still drive a car without wearing a seatbelt?

The best is when a motorcycle cop writes you up for no seat belt. Happened to be last year.

Been driving for about 19 years now without wearing my seat belt. I've gotten 3 tickets @ $25 each in that time.

That's a little under $4 per year that I pay for my freedom.

Time for the government to tell me what to do in my own goddamn vehicle "for the safety of myself and others" and not for the revenue

Some of their campaign is crap.. I never wear a seat belt and I drive past a cop every time I'm on the road yet I've never been pulled over for not wearing it. I don't have to deal with LA's unconstitutional, Communist check points though..

It's ridiculous if they are still able to hand out a significant amount of tickets for violating laws that have been in place that long.

don't know why anyone would be in a moving vehicle without wearing a seat belt.

Pointless campaign since virtually all cars since the 80s contain a mechanism for reminding the driver to fasten their seat belt.

The annual "we need more money so we will spend all of our time focused on this while we ignore pretty much everything else" campaign.

Good times.

This year I hope they focus on school buses. If you write those little suckers up in a school zone, that's double the revenue.

Louisiana State Police does not make a cent off of any ticket they write.

I've worked with the company (GMMB) that materialized that whole campaign when I was in DC... They just got into new offices in Georgetown that are VERY Google-esque... polished concrete floors, tons of windows, colored conference rooms, porch swing on one of the levels...

Would love to work there... amazing marketing/design company.

Caveat: They helped Obama win on both campaigns
