I get kinda pissed when I see a small fender bender that happened in traffic (less than 10 mph impact) and the cars stay blocking the lane until the cops come.
There are signs all over that say move wrecks to the shoulder.
But people think the police are going to come and do CSI work on their car and need to preserve the scene.

i dont think they think they're going to do CSI work. But if you move from the scene it can turn into one's word against another.

Don't get me wrong i move, but i understand people being leery.

As a retired cop I can't agree with this enough. They say the insurance companies tell them not to move, I always responded with the law says to get out of the road. Now if you are injured then don't move. No injuries, take a quick picture with your phone and move out of the road.
