His contract is the only reason he's still in the majors at this point. Giving him an extension (and a raise) was one of Cashman's worst moves.

In hindsight it was.
At the time he was a 30-year old coming off a GREAT season and had been nothing short of solid in pinstripes. I think everyone knew he would decline after a while, but I don't think anyone called it being this fast and bad.
