Martin has been a little higher than 30 for a while, wonder if he's falling or just deciding he is a need there...

We all know Martin is going to get picked based on pure potential. He is FAR from a finished product and think he's going to get exposed a bit in the predraft workouts against much more skilled players. I wouldn't be shocked if that causes him to fall to the 2nd round.

Mickey is still probably a little better suited to come in and help a team from day one (assuming he can find a position), though Martin clearly has the higher ceiling. It will interesting to watch. I think Mickey really improves his stock in the predraft workouts while Martin's will fall a bit.

Umm no...

Martins stock will improve after the combine. He's going to show up and be 6'9-6'10ish, and will be very fluid with the ball in his hands, running the court, showing his athleticism, knock down some jumpers, etc. Someone his size + ball handling ability and the athleticism to run the court as well as he does will turn some heads. And why would better competition hurt him? He was really good vs better competition for us. Against top 25 teams he averaged 22ppg, 11 rebs, and shot 57.1%. He pretty much carried us vs the better teams.

Mickey, on the other hand, will show up and be undersized for a PF, will have issues handling the ball in the open court, and will show that he can't play on the perimeter due to his limited offensive skill set. And Mickey will be the 1 that struggle vs the better competition, not Martin. He will be going up agaisnt the top big men in the draft like KAT, Okafor, Trill Cauley Stein( ), Looney, Bobby Portis, Myles Turner, etc. He's smaller and less skilled than all of them. If anything, it's Mickey that will be exposed due to better competition.

Martin is built for the combine and showcases, Mickey isn't. Mickey could improve his stock a little, sure. But there's no way the combine will hurt Martin, especially if he measures in at 6'10. His stock has been pointing up since the last half of the season, and it will be pointing up after the combine as well.
