I wouldn't worry about diversity.

I did actually. If I had to guess you and me probably know each other. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was just more ghetto feeling... Maybe it was because they were blasting 2-Chainz during intermission? Not that I dislike 2-Chainz or anything.

My boss' son goes to LSU Lab and they have 0 connections to LSU what so ever. He was in the army and his wife attended SLU. They applied their son and he got in.

I'm training my boy to crawl a 40yrd dash In record time...hopefully that will get him in

Just curious how they stack up academically? I got that feel from other people's opinions.

Why is new money so interested in St. George? Not arguing, Im just trying to understand these interesting BR private school dynamics. Lived here over 10 years and don't feel like a local..still.

They're fine academically. They feed into St. Michael's High School though, which is shitty. St. George all goes to CHS/SJA.

All good choices if your kid gets turned away by St. Thomas More.

What's up with STM now? It was one of the super decent schools when I was coming up.

the biggest DB I've ever met sends his kids to STM and brags about it like its the best school ever. That alone awakens my gag reflexes.

Well the play is about race so they had to have a little ghetto.

I thought it was a great production. Probably the best I've seen them do. You know more than me because I will have to google 2 chainz.

The area around STM is going down fast. It's full of rednecks and Vietnamese now.

My wife's mother teaches at St. George. My wife and all of her brothers and sisters are products of St George SJA/CHS. We are choosing the Episcopal route, but only because I don't want to fight Siegan everyday. It was a tie up to that point.

I'm glad I'm not the only one factoring traffic into these decisions.

That part in the bold gave me a good chuckle . Yeah, the seniors in particular did a really good job with the talent show. There was one kid there who had a speach about the use of the guillotine. Dude was a character, but it was a really interesting discussion to say the least.

You can't go wrong with with any of the schools that you listed except for Cypress Heights. I only say this b/c I am completely ignorant of CH and its program.

If it were me, I would evaluate MBS and St. George and pick the community that has the culture that best suits you. The community atmosphere is what make these schools good schools. In my opinion the big focus is sending your kids to either SJA or CHS. In my opinion the biggest asset that you get from going to CHS/SJA is not the academics themselves, but instead expectations for its graduates and the network that gets established while you are there.

The people I have talked to have loved CH. I would recommend visiting each place though.

It's come highly recommended by people I trust, our nannys child went there and she loved it. I don't know much bc I haven't considered it because it's north Baton Rouge to me. :)

I've got visits scheduled. Just wanted to get the OT snobbery opinion for good measure!
