If you are going to change boxing for the better you have to take the jab away from being counted as a punch because it's really not a punch. Floyd is a jabber. That's why the punch count is so high. they are sitting there, floyd throws a jab, that's a punch. but it's really not.

I don't agree, 2,3, 8,9,10 were Pacquiao rounds in my opinion. A few other middle rounds were toss up also but I gave to Mayweather. I will say that I only believe Pacquiao won 2 to 3 rounds decisively. Like I said before, I had it a draw. I just think 118-110 is ridiculous.

They also categorize the type of punch, including jabs. Mayweather threw 168 power punches and connected on 81 (48%) of those power punches. Pac threw 236 and landed 63 for 27%. Pac landed 18/193 (9%) jabs while Floyd landed 67/267(25%) jabs. Mayweather landed as many punches categorized as a "power punch" as Pacquiao landed in the entire match. This isn't the eyeball test. These are CompuBox stats for the match.

I've seen fighters get their faces busted open by nothing but jabs.

Bayless only uses the eye test when the numbers don't support his narrative. He often goes with the numbers if they support his position.

It was easy to see. The place I was watching didn't have the sound on for the fight. I'm assuming the crowd went nuts for every Pac punch landed. But it looked to me like Floyd pretty much cruised. Some of the rounds probably looked close due to Pac flurries.

Take the guaranteed payouts off the table for a winner takes all format, there won't be any question about the outcome of a match. There is absolutely no incentive to get your arse beat with an 120 million second best payout.

He did absolutely nothing but run the entire fight.

I knew this was coming anyone who grew up a fan of boxing knew this was coming.

Packman should have made shortening the ring a 'pre condition for the fight like the old times would when you faced a runner....

Then this is the last fight for either so, why should either care and they don't.

Who's the fool here?

Yeah, we all knew it was coming.

Pre-fight: They say Pac will win, Pac will dominate, Pac will destroy Mayweather

Post-fight: The excuses and whining rolls out.

It was hilarious to see Mayweather make Pacquiao look like an amateur boxer. Never thought I'd see Mayweather out punch Pacquiao and make him look slow.

So they are saying there was 144 power punches landed last night?!? I wonder what constitutes a "Power Punch"? I can only remember a handful for each player, hence why they didn't have a bruise on them. One would think with 144 power punches there might be some cuts/swelling and people wouldn't have been so bored.

It was like PacMan didnt adjust he tactics at all as the fight progressed.

It's got to be on the trainer. He claims he though he was winning, but that clearly wasn't the case. Not only that, but it's almost like they didn't plan for Mayweather at all. He did exactly what he does every other match, but instead of Pac throwing a million punches like everyone knew he needed to, he sat back. The entire fight's pace and result falls on Pac's trainer.

He adjusted but it was like Mayweather was smarter and just changed what he was doing. He literally kept him confused.

Remember in the 4th round when Mayweather sat on the ropes and let him come beat on him? After that round Mayweather adjusted to using a left hook to "ole" out of the ropes/corner.

Adjustments like that is what makes this guys so great. People hate him because he is flashy, arrogant, etc. However dude is very very smart. A smart boxer and smart business man.
