I bring a paper I get for free to work sometimes in case things get slow. Well, today I look over and someone is thumbing their way through it. I didn't say anything but several thought crossed my mind.

Would I care if she asked? Nope, I'd let her go through it probably. Do I have any real investment or will my day be ruined if this paper is destroyed? No.

But then I considered what if she was careless and messed it up? What if she caused a mess and folded it all up in some psychotic way. How was she to know my value level for the paper?

Where did you leave it?

If left in a 'public' space, fair.

I would say it was rude of her not to ask first if she can look at your paper.

Where was the paper at? Did she just take it off your desk and start reading it? I mean....would you just take a book from someone and start reading it without asking?

I hate reading a paper that has been defiled.

I would have freaked out on here for raping your paper.

Is the definition of "things get slow" here when there are no calls in queue?

When I live in Old Metairie, my wife and I started being roughly tucked in the bag. One weekend AM, I saw my neighbor two houses down come and take my paper. So I leash up my great dane and we knock on his door and ask for our paper back. Guy didn't seem to think he was doing anything wrong. Said he had been returning them! WTF? What makes someone think this is acceptable?

If she is attractive then it is fair. Hard to find a good looking woman who reads anything besides social media these days.

If she is unattractive or fat, then foul. Report her to HR for harassment.
