This is the correct answer. I worked at BRCC in college and the same members are still there. I talked to an executive at the club not too long ago and he relates that it is approaching crisis status because the old frickers won't let any new people join outside of existing families.

It is like when the royal familys in the Middle Ages would interbreed to keep anyone from getting in. The Club is going to tank if they don't get new members.

its like that in any midsize to small large city. Austin is the same way. Austin Country Club old money, and the Barton Creek courses new money.
