I think this is why the NBA is waiting so long to suspend JR Smith.

Now that Love is out so long, his suspension won't be as long. Fact.

Kelly Olynyk did acknowledge his intent was not to hurt Kevin Love. I'm just going to hope that this is the case.

However, Olynyk also says that love "clamped [him}" so "[Olynyk] clamped him back." I saw no such thing. The video shows Love using his arm as a shield to get better position to grab the loose ball. Olynyk "counters" by grabbing ahold of Love's left arm with both of hands and yanking it.

It seems that Olynyk purposely yanked Love's arm without the intent of actually injuring him. He did, though, and deserves some type of punishment for it.

ETA: though Olynyk acknowledged that he did not intend on hurting Love, it didn't sound like, from Chris Fedor's article, that he exactly denied purposely yanking Love's arm, either. I think the video lays credence to the fact that the act was cheap and uncalled for.

With LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, Cleveland still has a chance to knock off Chicago, but Olynyk really hindered some of those odds with a cheap play.

Did they say a timeline or just "out for the whole series"

Because if it's a 7 game series that could be almost 3 weeks

For the Ohio people, I understand the frustration.

For all the others, why the hell do you think happens under the rim? I swear, people see a player go a tad overboard aggressive and start wringing their hands.

I'm sure Kevin Love has never clamped and yanked an arm during a contested lose ball. Sometimes, overly aggressive plays get people injured. Gronk took an ill advised shot to the knee, Welker head hunted Talib. It happens.

This reminds me of the time that the Celtics thought they were gonna beat the Heat because Bosh was out.

On first look I thought it was just another nothing play but one of the slow motion replays shows intent IMO. Kelly was intending to wrench his arm, if not injure.

Good sour grapes action for the Celtics. They can't do anything but they can try to ruin another team's chances of advancing.
