John Manuel: Not sure that it’s 100 percent sewn up, because LSU’s RPI is probably going to sink a bit with Alcorn State, New Orleans, and then Mississippi State, Mizzou and South Carolina — three of the SEC’s lower RPI clubs — looming on the schedule. If LSU were to slip up, I suppose its possible for LSU to host but slip out of the top 8. But do you see that happening with this team? I don’t, not with their intensity, depth, offensive versatility … It’s just an impressive club with a very good talent base, very good coaching staff and nice balance. No real flaws in LSU’s game for a college baseball team.

not including midweeks if we finish 6-3 in the remaining SEC games, we will have a top 8 seed locked up when we go to Hoover.

It's been a while since we lost a road game. Hopefully we can continue that trend, and go 5-1 against MSU and USCe.

I know what you mean. After all the hype for the A&M series, MSU seems like a letdown. Hopefully we can take care of business on the road.

Not too surprised by that, CPM still doesn't want to push Lange too much. I could see him moving Lange back to the Game 1 spot against Mizzou, since that's a Friday series and he'd still get 6 days rest.

At this point I'm just fine leaving it the way it is for the rest of the regular season.

Whatever the rotation is for Mizzou, it'll have to be the same against USCe, since that's a Thursday series. After that, we're done with the regular season, so I'm fine either way.
