I do agree that EPCOT was designed for adults. I've watched several documentaries on the history of Disney and I know that to be true. It's also probably why I absolutely hated EPCOT as a kid . But, I think every other park is designed with children in mind.

EPCOT bored me as a kid and now it's my favorite.

Walts vision for building Disneyland, then eventually Disney World was because he wanted a different type of theme park than what was currently offered. He wanted something that was geared towards families, but could appeal to all. It doesn't mean you have to have kids to enjoy family entertainment anymore then it means that if you have kids you can't enjoy adult entertainment.

It was built as somewhere that adults could bring their kids, but the adults could feel like kids too. No it was not geared just for adults without kids. Nor was it geared just for kids. The design, theming and ideas for the park always had adults in mind. From day one, till now.
