if you watch it, it LOOKS like Q was going for a foul but pulled out for fear steph would try to put it up as he fouled. on the second shot, there was literally no time.

Players fail to execute late on offense, fail to get any defensive rebounds late and fail to simply foul anyone to prevent a three-point shot. Cumulative stupidity and ineptitude = coaching failure.

Like Matt Morre said on Twitter communication with your players. You scream at them on the sidelines to foul.

Yup, he's trying to save his own arse, and knows they are pretty much done in the playoffs. There was absolutely no one trying to foul on that last GS play of regulation. NO ONE.

Well then he needs to be fired still if the players are tuning him out.

Good coaches take the fall for their players. Bad coaches blame the players and lose their loyalty. Then the bad coaches get fired

I'd not buy it if we weren't so stupid to waste 10 seconds before fouling Curry in overtime. We may not have the brightest crayons on the court.

Depends on the context. I bet he was real specific about the scenario and it was not the exact scenario that played out as the players did not rush to foul like you'd expect. Seems like they had to think about it. No thought process should have been involved. This isn't the first time, we see players not fouled in a similar case. Pondexter is a smart guy with playoff experience. I don't think he would be that clueless.

He did. In the timeout huddle right before the 3pt shot, he said foul them at least twice in the huddle. They didn't execute.

On the FSNO broadcast I heard him say the word foul at least two times during the timeout before the play. I guess it wasn't the primary play.
