The critical problem is Jefferson Parish is being targeted by the federal government. The Department of Education and Justice has already hit their schools, it is only a matter of time until they hit law enforcement and the courts.

Remember, I did not say it was NO East, only that it's headed in that direction.
I don't know what JPSO can do about it. They can't appear to violate civil rights. Plus you already have a good number of criminals in Metairie in those apartments.

I will update this thread with details from the presser for people who can't follow it live. Looking at the podium right now. Evidence is lined up. The gun is on the table so apparently it was recovered.

This story really really pisses me off. I hate how we had to assume the kid was into drugs and gambling and it was his fault he was killed at first, to turn out it was some thugs. It is pretty sickening to go back and read this thread

35-45 JPSO staff members worked this case.
JPSO made the arrests on Friday. JPSO didn't want to interrupt the DA's work.
Described it as a "execution style murder".
One of the vehicles in the driveway was burglarized. Along with others in the area. A fingerprint was lifted from one of these.
4 shot gun shells recovered on the scene.
Numerous items from the wife's purse and the kitchen counter area were missing.
Security footage played a part in the investigation.
JPSO used their cams to locate a license plate.
The perps used a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was stolen earlier that day in Orleans Parish around 4:00. JPSO is not sure if they stole this vehicle or if someone else did and passed it along.
Choosing this neighborhood was completely RANDOM.
JPSO believes that they were riding around and saw the open garage in the Pence's yard. They came back around to actually commit an armed robbery however the garage was empty. The suspect then saw that the side door to the house was wide open. He went back to the stolen car and grabbed his shotgun. Went back and murdered the two men. Not sure if Mr. Pence was even awake at the time.
JPSO began to surveil the vehicle on Friday. JPSO / US Marshalls task force gave chase to the vehicle and stop it. The male suspect ran and jumped of a bridge. Both suspects were then arrested. The female admitted to being in the car during the murder.
The shotgun in presence at the presser has been confirmed to be the weapon used.
Neither suspect has significant criminal history. Male is 18, female is 17. JPSO has had a chase with the male once in the past.
NOPD, US Marhsalls Task Force and LA State Police assisted.

Excellent job by the JPSO and all other LE personnel to get these two off the streets. The world is a better place today with this monster behind bars.
