I don't know if they fixed ESO for consoles, but it was decimated by reviewers. From what I remember reading, they tore it a new a-hole.

The game is much different than at launch. I played for about two months then became bored with it, but they have since introduced the champion system which greatly improved and enhanced endgame progression. Pvp kills also now grant 50% more xp which incentivizes cyrodiil(pvp zone) action.

They also implemented the justice system so you can now murder/steal from NPC's with bounty penalties if you get caught. One of the biggest improvements are the bug fixes that really hampered the launch experience. It still has some bug issues but it's a far better game than it was this time last year.

It was really boring when I played it. I got an invite for this one too, don't know if I'll use it.

I was in every beta for almost a year and bought it at launch. I quit at level 16. The gameplay wasn't the problem as much as the stability of the game itself. It was clearly rushed to launch without adequately testing their MegaServer architecture enough.

Until 1.6 dropped, I hadn't touched the game since, and now I play regularly. It's still not perfect, but it's almost completely different than what I played in the beta at launch. The changes are all small, but they really add up to major improvement. I've seen it get re-reviewed, and most of the fresh reviews are positive. As merciless as gamers are, I see that as a sign of it having new life.

I dont play online games but i love me some elder scrolls. Will i be able to get this game and just run around exploring and looting shite like skyrim?

Absolutely. At launch, there was no punishment for looting any and every single thing out there. Now, there's a bounty system, which I think is a major plus. The game's UO influence is becoming extremely apparent.

One last thing to any new players, pick up every Skyshard you see. They're crystals with a beam of light coming from the sky. Every three you collect gives you a skill point.
