I have sadly had one stolen. I was at fault for leaving my shotgun out of view inside my vehicle in my driveway. Had it been locked up behind a closed door I would also have been paying for a new window like the other people who had belongings stolen out of their vehicles that evening.
I was at fault then, admitted it then, and admit it now.
I was not at fault for it getting stolen as that was a criminal action that I had no control over.
And since he wants to look at statistics maybe he can look up the statistics on the # of crimes that are committed with a 28" camo pump shotguns.

How many people have reported guns stolen out of their truck? I read this board as often as anyone and can't think of just a few.

A Truck is not a secure place to store a firearm.
And I am one of the biggest pro-gun people on this site.

Anyone know his address? I mean, to let criminals know which homeowner leaves his defense up to the police. Given the propensity lately for cops to shoot, and the general restraint armed citizens show, he should have to have a sign up stating that police officers are guarding his home.

It would be interesting to have a city wide campaign to handout election size yard signs for people who are against gun ownership, and are willing to sign that they don't own a gun as part of that commitment to ethics. The will receive a free color coded sign that says, No1needsGuns.
Deliver all signs on Sat.
Then have someone post a letter to the editor in Sunday paper, anonymously thanking the campaign for the reduced workplace violence that is expected when he breaks into homes later that work week.
