Replied in the other thread but here it is again...

"Right now Sampson is a catch and shoot type player who needs a weight room, defensive mindset, and grasp on team play. He's got athleticism both vertically and laterally needed to be a plus defender but it'll take him committing to that end and improving his defensive discipline. Offensively, he can shoot it as well as most people in his class (save Luke Kennard who is other worldly) and has the bounce to finish over defenders (and body control to finish around them). Once again, he has to add legit weight. While a player like Blakeney appears a similar build, AB is much much stronger. Sampson won't be ready to finish through contact at all. He does have that "dog" in him for when it's time to go. The ability to take over and has no fear when it comes to taking any shot (might need to dial it down some the way Patterson needs to be dialed down).

I can see him getting 8-10 mins next year as a scorer when a team has 3 guards in. Really tough seeing any chance he defends the 3 unless it's a smaller guard or smaller school.

tl;dr - High Upside, lots of work needed... has physical tools to be as good as he wants"
