What great effect has Jesus had on the course of human events besides personal salvation, that compares with the conquering of Asia?

Not necessarily that but how his teachings and followers affected other things. So much of western history draws a direct line to his teachings of people following his teachings.

Another honest question: khan conquered Asia. Cool. How did that resonate throughout history? Did people hundreds or thousands of years later wage was in his name? Other effects?

By replacing the rulers of china, India, and Persia with Mongolians, who were from a completely different culture and way of life.
