This may sound stupid but the cath lab I work in also does biopsies and mtx chemo....you mentioned your mom was in good shape. Now would be a good time to maybe put on a few pounds. Eventually treatment may cause her to lose weight and her appetite might be gone. If a pt is terribly malnourished it may slow treatment options. Enjoy fine restaurants and decadent meals to add the weight so the family gets an excuse to get together. Good Luck and I hope it is still just local. I see lots of people beat CA.
