No, there's very few pitchers you can't get for Altuve. Aim for a top 5 SP.

I'd take it. No way Altuve repeats last years numbers and those are two young gun strikeout pitchers!

Altuve's fantasypros combined ADP (CBS, ESPN, NFBC, Yahoo, RTSports, Fantrax) was 12. Your opinion is one amongst millions; I would aim for top 20 players before settling for much lower.

what's your league size?

those guys are borderline waiver players in leagues 12 and smaller, until they prove anything.

he hasn't passed the 2 year rule yet. If he repeats what he did last year, then he may be worth a top 5 pitcher. I dont think he is right now.

is he a 280-290 hitter w/ 35 SB like his first 2 full seasons

or is he a .340 hitter witht 55 SBs like last year ?

lemme see it another year

I agree; the vast majority don't, however.

I'm certainly not starting my trade offers with Shields or Samardzija if I liked Altuve enough to draft him in the top 20.

but you think you could get a King, Sale, Madbum, kershaw?

im thinking a Zimmman, sonny gray, maybe a Grienke type if you can find a trade partner with a deep staff.

In an batting average league, sure. A team with an elite pitcher would have to have a void at 2B and be strong at SP, but value-wise I think you certainly could in a vacuum.

Felix & Kershaw were the only ones who were on average drafted in front of him in your "typical" league, so it's obvious that someone likes Altuve.

i just dont think draft rankings are a good indicator of trade value in baseball. Esp hitter vs pitcher. Everything changes once your roster is set.

once your roster is set, the head of your staff becomes pretty important, esp if its a top 5 guy.

or maybe i just value pitching too much.

i think astro fans are the only people that think he can hit .340 again

He's already +runs and +in SBs, and that's "Altuve's career year"

WGAF about HRs and RBIs if you're going to take a light hitting 2B, especially in a H2H league. Sub 10 HRs and sub 60 RBI aint doing much for me

Tuves can take the AVG

frick a stupid fig hitting 2B when you could draft cano, dozier, kinsler, rendon, pedroia hell give me neil walker or kendrick i'll pick up jared dyson if i want steals

yea but the other categories outweigh Gordon's by a nice margin

they are close in SBs and runs.

Then trade Altuve for Kluber. Neither have passed the two year test.

By the way, I am very anti-Altuve in 2015 fantasy.
