Go with the 2500 for sure. Why not upgrade to Daiwa, much more bang for the buck and better spinning reels. Compare the Daiwa reel that is the same money as the symmetry which isn't a very good reel. You'll get more bearings and much better drag. Legalis, or
Exceller. Good luck.

Hmmm. . . just picked up a couple and haven't used them much yet, but all my other reels are Saharas and their performance has been superb over the last 3 years I have used them. I can only imagine the Symetre's will be even better.
